The Golden Age of America
"I am for doing good to the poor, but I differ in opinion of the means. I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. In my youth I traveled much, and I observed in different countries, that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer." (published November 29, 1766)
Benjamin Franklin
One of the Founding Fathers of the United States of America.
Today, the United States of Hollywood spends

He was poor and became rich. He believed in self-improvement.
He was a self-made man. These are his words...
The government should OFFER WORK to the poor -- NOT free money and benefits! Those welfare programs represents 115 BILLION hours of work every year (at minimum wage). Imagine the wonderful America they could have built with 115 BILLION hours of work EVERY YEAR -- or, more than a TRILLION hours of work in 10 years! America would have been a more beautiful place to live!
Welfare Programs (as nice as they can be) Guarantee a Nation of Poverty!
